We are hiring a Senior Associate, Investment Finance at our Corporate Office in Vaughan, ON!
The Senior Associate, Investment Finance is responsible cash flow modelling and analysis of newly created fund structure from initial analysis to final implementation as well as create and maintain the corporate valuation model for the purposes of capital needs analysis and capital structure optimization. This role will engage in cross functional partnerships, understand the full asset life cycle and fully take on processes end to end. The Senior Associate, Investment Finance will help drive Empire's continued growth across North America, both geographically and through new lines of business.
What You Will Do:
·Prepare cash flow models for the Corporate Valuation, structuring capital raising initiatives and maintaining investment track record analysis
·Provide key strategic insights using quantitative and qualitative data on a location and market-level basis to generate pitch books for the purpose of sourcing external capital
·Create and maintain the analysis and presentation of Empire's financial growth initiatives
·Monitor, interpret and communicate activity in the capital markets for relevant transactions that could affect Empire's capital raising initiatives
·Improve upon current tools and templates and develop new ones to streamline and standardize the capital raising process
·Present findings in clear, compelling and professional presentations to senior internal and external stakeholders, detailing development feasibility, opportunities, risks, etc.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor Degree in, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Real Estate Development or relevant field of study
- 3+ years of experience in finance, investments, consulting or asset management
- Progress towards completion of a professional designation such as CPA/CFA/CBV/CAIA is considered an asset
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Excel formulas and functions; Experience with S&P Capital IQ an asset
- Experience in preparing detailed and professional investment recommendation reports, pitch books and investor materials for the purposes of raising capital for development projects, equity funds, or debt financing
