Are you passionate about precision in numbers and have an eye for detail? We are seeking a diligent Finance and Accounting Assistant to join our team and contribute to our financial operations. This role will involve a diverse range of responsibilities to support our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trust account daily reconciliation: maintain accuracy and consistency in trust account records, ensuring daily reconciliation for transparency and compliance.
- Commissions Payable and Receivable: manage invoicing, payments and collections, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and collections
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Payroll Administration: support the payroll process, including documentation of staff vacation, sick days, etc.
- Handle accounts payable duties, such as reviewing and processing invoices for payment
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant field preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, including Excel
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple time-sensitive tasks
