Responsibilities:
- Perform all accounting functions for the Foundation, including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, benefit administration, budget preparation, various reporting, and year end audit preparation and support.
- Provide support to the Financial Manager and CAO
- Support the management team with all financial requirements and inquiries
- Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required by the CAO, Board of Directors and Government Agencies
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Foundation
Experience:
-Minimum Education - Accounting Diploma from an accredited education institute
- Proven experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Canadian financial principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficient in financial software and systems (e.g., Sage 50, Microsoft Office)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
