What you’ll do here:
Initiate and contribute to improving processes for reporting, budget review, performance analysis and various existing management reports.
Initiate and contribute to designing and implementing new processes for portfolio monitoring and for measuring and comparing brokerages’ performance.
Review and analyze financial statements and budgets prepared by brokers.
Monitor and control the accuracy and completeness of data in internal systems processing.
Performs daily and monthly reconciliation between various systems and databases.
Act as a resource to coach and train BFS Managers.
Coordinate and control the administration of a relational database and improve the active controls that are in place to safeguard data integrity.
Participate in, and assume responsibility for special projects or mandates.
What you bring to the table:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD, in accounting, finance or a related field
Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for Summer 2024 Term (May 6 to August 23)
Must be returning to school in Fall 2024 or Winter 2025 following your internship
Available to work from the office 2 days a week (and 3 from home)
Skills in data extraction / manipulation / synthesizing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Can multitask and handle multiple priorities with time-sensitive deadlines
Customer focus
Work management and time management skills
Can work independently or on a team
Can interact with people at all levels of the company, including senior management and external partners
Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English) * Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
