POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this permanent, full-time role provides support to the team in the areas of financial analysis and basic property accounting. This is an opportunity with exposure to a wide range of responsibilities in the Finance Department.

This position requires you to work out of our Head Office location, 77 Bloor Street West, Toronto, a minimum of three (3) days a week. This is subject to change with notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and ad-hoc management information reports
• Provide analytical reporting and project support to senior management
• Generate and maintain Excel budget template files
• Analyze data and compile records for rent increase applications; liaise with external consultants
• Prepare documents and records required by various municipalities across Canada for realty tax assessment purposes
• Develop Excel models that help with decision-making
• Process general ledger entries, service mortgage and property tax accounts
• Maintain accurate and complete records and files
• Establish and maintain co-operative and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients
• Participate in special projects and other job responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• One to two years of related experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree with an accounting major or equivalent certification
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Attention to accuracy and detail required
• Demonstrated ability to accurately meet deadlines and manage large volumes
• Yardi or related property management accounting software skills would be an asset
