Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst. This is a full-time position based out of our Calgary head office. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes for downstream business units.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Evaluate and report on operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial policies.
- Assist in financial planning and strategic initiatives.
- Drive improvement in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial analysis and reporting processes
- Prepare ad hoc economic analysis and management reports as needed
- Prepares monthly lookbacks comparing accruals and budgets to actuals
- Prepares monthly accruals
- Assists with cash planning and management processes
- Other tasks, as required
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance considered an asset
- 2-6 years of accounting experience, specific Oil and Gas experience would be considered an asset
- Obtained or working towards a CPA considered an asset
- Experience with Qbyte an asset
- Experience with Crude Marketing as asset
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
