Your Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a member of the Financial Services team and business partner with operations, the Financial Analyst will provide financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting adding value to the company.
Your Key Responsibilities
Coordinating financial workflow to be completed by our Pune, India team. This involved regular communication, clear delegation of tasks and project management;
Assist with Finance Framework updates;
Maintain the Finance OneNote;
Reviewing draft financial statements, performing analysis and completing month end journals and reconciliations;
Conducting earned value assessments and project reviews, highlighting projects with financial risk and ensure revenue is recognized appropriately. Simultaneously, reviewing contracts to highlight clauses that may impact revenue recognition;
Assisting the Operations team with project reviews to ensure a healthy level of profitability is achieved. Taking proactive measures to communicate any foreseeable project issues, where required;
Collaborating with both internal and external auditors on specific requests that help support internal controls and the external audit;
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Intermediate level accounting knowledge with understanding of full-cycle accounting and Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills;
Strong understanding of contractual agreements with clients;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with various stakeholders;
Strong multi-tasking, analytical and organizational skills;
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or Commerce or related field. Accounting Designation or working towards it is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience. Previous experience in the professional services industry is considered an asset.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
