Financial Analyst / Deputy Treasurer

The Municipality of Huron East is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Financial Analyst/Deputy Treasurer. The Financial Analyst/Deputy Treasurer position is mainly responsible for completing financial analysis, supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the municipal asset management program, maintaining the tangible capital asset sub-ledger, the accounting for municipal drains, reconciliations, and preparing grant applications and progress reports.

Qualifications:

· University degree or three year diploma in accounting, finance or related field and currently pursuing or willing to pursue a Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
· Minimum five years of experience with similar responsibilities, preferably in a municipal environment.
· Thorough knowledge of accounting best practices and standard procedures.
· Strong computer and records management skills
· Well-developed oral communication skills, writing skills, and organizational skills with an attention to detail
· Ability to work with regular interruptions and under pressure.
· Strong sense of confidentiality
· Must be an effective team player

The annual salary range for this position is $85,363.20 to $96,096.00. The Municipality also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
