FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVER

BASIC FUNCTION:

Food and Beverage servers work in the restaurant and banquet areas of the hotel, serving guests exceptional Food and Beverage and ensuring that their meetings are productive, successful and memorable. They perform key server duties in The Cannery Kitchen and Social, help expedite and deliver room service orders, setup, execute and tear down meeting and events and serve and ambassadors of the hotel's Food and Beverage vision and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver a memorable guest experience
• Required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings, providing recommendations
• Follow appropriate steps of service to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction
• Ensure floor stations are stocked with appropriate par stocks
• Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues, and work with management to ensure guest satisfaction if faced with guest recovery situation
• Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manor
• Ensure compliance of brand standards
• Strive to achieve departmental targets
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas
• Follow BEO directions when executing meetings and events in the events center to ensure customer satisfaction
• Preparing tables, serving stations, or buffet tables for service
• Cleaning up after events and aiding in Set ups/Resets

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of serving experience, with banquet experience an asset
• Basic bartending experience
• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft office software, POS system, Reservation system, and other related applications
• Flexible schedule, must be able to work Evenings and weekends
• Smart Serve Certified

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
