We are a local, family operated organization called Heart to Home Meals based out of Aurora and we are looking for a caring and compassionate Food Service Sales person to join our team. We are committed to providing operators, group homes, shelters and assisted living community service agents with a portfolio of prepared meals that are great tasting, nutritional and convenient to facilities located in Bradford, York Region, Caledon, Orangeville, and surrounding areas.

We provide you with training and support to help you become a successful, professional Food Service Sales person so that together we can make a real difference to the customers we serve. Successful applicants will be compassionate, have exceptional verbal skills/telephone manner and enjoy building meaningful relationships with Food Service operators in our community. Additionally, candidates will be required to organize and host lunch and learn events for consumers living in adult communities to introduce them to the program. Your duties as a Food Service Sales Person will include, but are not limited to:
- The heart of this position is the relationship between the Food Service Sales Person and the customer - whether a business operator or an individual.
- Primarily responsible for uncovering business opportunities (group homes, shelters, community assisted living centers) and for identifying and organizing lunch and learn presentations at senior/adult community centers.
- For business operators who provide meals to clients and/or residents you should have a strong desire to uncover their needs and work collaboratively with them to provide suitable solutions.
- For individuals, you act as an ambassador who introduces them to our meals and program.
- Maintaining a customer database and keep information on file current.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction and build loyalty.
- Handle any customer issues that may arise by providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
The Successful Candidate for this Position Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Genuine desire to build a business network
- Excellent telephone, inter-personal skills and verbal communication skills
- Patience, attention to detail and have organizational skills to be able to address customer needs and conduct follow-ups / reminders
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Positive Attitude, Willingness to Learn (training is provided) - no experience necessary but previous experience in food and/or sales is an asset
- Previous experience working with seniors in any capacity is a definite asset

Work Schedule:
This is a position where you will work from your home office, and travel to your sales calls. A typical day would run from 9am-3pm (no Evenings or Weekends required) but we are open to discuss working hours during your interview.
Compensation:
Salary: $17.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience plus expenses. A bonus program is available if objectives are achieved.
