Forklift Operator

Selig Canada, Bradford ON.

The recognized leading manufacturer of lining materials for tamper-evident caps and closures in North America. Selig is currently growing and seeking an experienced Forklift Operator.

Starting hourly rate of $23.22 with increases over 2 years, plus a competitive benefits package (Drug, Dental, Enhanced Health Care and RRSP programs).

Responsibilities:

· Operate a forklift in a safe manner, both loading and unloading material

· Perform equipment inspection

· Work from production schedule to locate and distribute materials to operators

· Keep all manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas organized

· Must follow all job specifications and procedures

Knowledge/Experience:

· Licensed to operate a tow motor and propane forklift, reach truck and clamp truck would be an asset

· Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment is an asset, particularly in flexible packaging

Skills & Knowledge:

· Grade 12 or equivalent

· Candidates must have strong command of the English language

· Must have excellent oral and written communication

· Computer literate in a Windows environment

· Proficient math skills

· Knowledge with scanner (an asset)

· Multi-tasking

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Knowledge of reading text, & numbers
