THE ROLE
As Full Stack Developer of RunAsYouAre, you’ll shape the future of our product, building cutting-edge technology to deliver an elevated digital and health experience for runners. You’ll be focused on building our recently launched e-commerce platform, connecting our users to a global running ecosystem, and engineering a fully integrated retail tech stack.
The Software Developer will be responsible for working across the tech stack to build core infrastructure and services, such as integrating e-commerce with state-of-the-art inventory management systems, building a gamified running experience, and developing re-usable backend and front-end components. This person will work closely with the product management and design team in evolving our technical foundation, planning and building new features, solving unique customer problems, and collaborating with a small-but-mighty group of developers with a variety of backgrounds and expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building and designing our core platform, from database schemas to API designs.
- Optimizing and configuring fast and scalable solutions for our e-commerce platform as our customer base grows and our product evolves.
- Writing React + Node.js code to develop adaptive web applications.
- Implementing the logic behind our RunReady platform.
- Integrate third-party data sources to build a robust digital ecosystem for runners.
- Build admin-facing tools and front-end experiences to manage user experiences.
- Establish best practices and define processes for our engineering team to grow and succeed.

MUST HAVE'S
- Experience writing React, Node.js, and Python in a professional setting.
- Ability to understand and execute on product requirements.
- Comfortable working across the tech stack, integrating backend APIs with front-end experiences.
- Experience unit/integration testing and deploying code to production.
- Experience with NoSQL databases in production.
- Proficiency working in Cloud Environments (AWS/GCP).
- Able to work autonomously and make decisions independently
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willing to work a flexible schedule when required
- Willing to work as part of a team and also complete work independently
- You run!
- Knowledge of Firebase, Next.js, is not required but nice to have.
- Experience unit/integration testing and solid understanding of GIT.
- Familiarity with Shopify and other third-party APIs.
- Experience working in Agile framework.
- Familiar with AI and ML data and test pipelines and strategies.
