Seeking Full Time Forklift Operators

My Client in the Strathroy area is seeking Full Time Forklift Operators to join their growing team! Long term Opportunity

Job Description:

• Operate counterbalance forklift (50% of the day) picking up the skids using a clamper attachment, flipping it over and replacing the bottom skid with a heat treated, then restacking
• Lifting boxes onto skids (20-40lbs) (50% of the day)
• 4 pallets can be restacked/hour

Once 1 month is completed duties are as follows:

• Unload, check and receive incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
• Fulfill and wrap orders to load them safely on trucks for delivery
• Ensure pallet/tote quality is acceptable, safe, and labeled correctly
• Organize and document inventory efficiently using the appropriate equipment including forklifts, pallets, cranes, computer software, etc.
• Maintain all warehouse storage maintenance and organization including sweeping freezer, dumping garbage, breaking down totes, and moving pallets as needed
• May perform other activities, such as service the packaging lines-deliver bulk product, packaging, and store case product in the freezer; ensure adequate boxes and poly supply line for production-restock when complete
• Work in compliance with established safe work practices, HACCP, Food Safety and GMP protocols to provide our customers with the right quality and service

Must Have Skills:

• Inhouse OR external forklift license (just need a picture of it/proof)
• 1 year forklift experience
• OSSD or equivalent
• Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment and work shift work including weekends
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to team spirit and a positive work environment

Shift: Days 5am - 1:30pm

Pay: $22.25
