We are currently recruiting for a dynamic individual to fill the position of a full-time Room Service / Bellman (available Monday to Sunday).
Job Description:
* Interact with our guests in a friendly and professional manner.
* Assist guests with inquiries
* Assist front desk staff when needed
* Receive and deliver items for guests, handle guest complaints and requests, and maintain luggage storage area
* Make sure the hotel is secured at night
* Periodic patrol of the hotel
* Maintain cleanliness of lobby area and Room Service area
* Deliver requested items to guest rooms
* Minor housekeeping work as assigned
* Minor maintenance work as assigned
* Familiarizes guests with Hotel services and answers any questions about the city
* Other duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
* Grade 12 completion. Post secondary education in Tourism/Hospitality programs an asset.
* Excellent customer service skills and attitude
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
* Previous bellman/security experience an asset
* Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written. Second language an asset.
* Must be able to lift a 40lb luggage
* Must be available Saturday and Sunday, no restriction on shift. (6:45am start for AM shift, 2:45pm start for PM shift, mid shift is based on business volume)
