Three month seasonal position to lead the Garden Centre team to success.

This is a temporary position but for the right candidate there may be other opportunities in the store at the end of the Garden Centre season.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain robust live plants
• Assist customers with gardening and plant queries
• Implementing company standards
• Schedule department staff to maximize customer service and fulfill business needs
• Responsible for stock rotation and pricing
• Assist with store relines and execute merchandising and promotional plans
• Maintenance of service and selling area
• Merchandise products for display
• To clean the work area ensuring the sanitation of the department meets with store standards.
• To follow the store safety procedures at all times.
• To respond to any customer inquiries or requests maintaining courteous customer relations at all times.
• Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to sustain plants
• Able to assist customers with plant/gardening questions and suggestions
• Able to take direction and follow planograms or merchandising plans
• Able to meet needs and demands of customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Good communication and listening skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stack, push and pull fully loaded pallets
• Able to stand for a long period of time
• Demonstrated commitment to customer and employee relations.
• Able to work as a member of a team and support the execution of team goals.
• Must be available DAYS/EVENINGS & WEEKENDS
