General Description:
Join our team as a Visitor Centre Supervisor, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Revelstoke Visitor Centre. Working closely with the Visitor Centre Coordinator, you'll oversee a team of 5 information counsellors, providing guidance, support, and maintaining the high standards expected of our centre. Reporting Relationship:
Directly reports to the Visitor Centre Coordinator. Reports to the Visitor Experience Manager in the Coordinator's absence.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
- Coordinate tasks and monitor team performance.
- Ensure staff adherence to schedules and uniform policies.
- Collaborate with Coordinator on roaming schedule adjustments.
Operational Support:
- Manage inventory levels and replenishment.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Compile weekly operational reports.
- Assist in light receptionist duties.
Visitor Services:
- Provide accurate and detailed information to visitors.
- Post timely updates on road and weather conditions.
- Address visitor inquiries and feedback promptly.
- Record statistical information accurately.
Roaming Services:
- Ensure smooth operation of roaming services.
- Resolve interruptions according to procedure.
- Coordinate van maintenance.
Retail Sales:
- Conduct retail transactions and maintain displays.
- Balance cash float.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative and resourcefulness.
- Sensitivity to diverse cultures.
- Weekend availability required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, tourism, business administration, or related field.
- Previous supervisory experience in tourism or hospitality.
- Familiarity with retail systems like Shopify.
- Ability to support employee training and orientation.
- Experience in managing schedule changes and unexpected events.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- In-depth knowledge of Revelstoke and surrounding area.

Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
