POSITION SUMMARY:
Execute and manage the operations and all workings of the MOC/ Construction Division within Solution Services Inc. Assist the estimating department with building all quotes and estimates for MOC and Construction projects. Coordinate and assign personnel for all MOC/ Construction project related tasks. Assist projects department when needed as a General Foreman. Assist QC Department when needed as required.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare quotes and estimates for all MOC/ Construction related scope.
- Attend site walk throughs, and report to projects team with all acquired information, timelines and work scope.
- Perform all measuring and fabrication of piping and structural steel under CWB and B31.3 codes
- Perform Hydro Testing as required.
- Coordinate NDE, internal/external coating (as required) and Stress relief (as required) for all fabrication projects.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and the environment regarding the use and application of Solution Services Inc. policies and work practices.
- Use and maintain designated safety equipment and personal protective equipment as required to minimize or control hazards.
- Ensure that the necessary permits, registration, insurance, etc. are current in the unit that you are driving.
- Manage the company’s budget and expenditures when ordering materials and equipment.
- Responsible to adhere to client timelines for project completion and ensure clear communication with client on any deviations.
- Complete Inventories and equipment inspections on our smart phone accessible, cloud-based management system.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s policies and procedures.
- Complete FLHA’s, Safety Observations and Hazard ID’s.
- Report any near misses, incidents, and accidents immediately to your supervisor and complete initial incident report.
- Arrive each day “fit for duty”, on time and prepared for work.
- Ensure all necessary safety training including customer orientations are kept current and updated in Workhub and KPA.
- Attend and participate in company safety and project kick off meetings.
- Journey Management – Communicate regularly with Dispatch an provide status updates, changes in road conditions, any possible delays on arrival to site or back to base.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Class 5 license
- H2S Alive
- First Aid Training.
- CSO Training
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training.
- AWP and Fall Protection
- Registered Pipefitter/Steamfitter Journeyman

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Will require travel to project sites that require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed boots, coveralls, safety glasses, hard hat and mandatory hearing protection.
- Some physical labour required.
- Able to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs., as well as reaching above shoulder height or below the waist.
- Will be exposed to a variety of weather conditions and job scopes.
- Sitting and/or standing as needed, as well as walking on uneven surfaces for periods throughout the day.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time Salary position. Monday to Friday with some on call requirements.
