Job Summary:

This is a Corporate position reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Supply Chain Operations. The Corporate Supply Chain Manager will support all global Martinrea plant locations with executing World Class Supply Chain Operations across our plants to drive KPI improvements, more robust processes for Customer Demand Management, Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Inventory Reduction and overall Working Capital Optimization, MRO Crib Management, Shipping & Receiving, Customer Service including Customer Scorecards and MMOG. This position is responsible to define processes as part of the Corporate Team, drive the implementation, monitor progress and evaluate the overall effectiveness of all plant Supply Chain Departments.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain (Materials Management) or Business Administration and 5-10 years of direct Automotive Experience in the Supply Chain/Materials function
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Extensive understanding of MRP and ERP systems, including AS400 CMS Epicor based systems
  • Inventory Optimization and Reduction
  • Lean Training in High Frequency Delivery Systems, Material Information Flow Charts, etc.
  • Strong Leadership and Communications skills; able to drive change.
  • Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Organizational Skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Effective time management skills

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the Supply Chain function across all Martinrea facilities
  • Develop and conduct regular training and coaching to plant teams
  • Establish, train, reinforce Corporate Standards, Policies and Procedures across all plants
  • Develop and Implement Systems that provide for Continuous Improvement and World Class Operations
  • Provide oversight (monitor, troubleshoot, measure, coach) on Container Management, Inventory Management (Optimization and Accuracy) including ERP System Setups (BOM's, Item Master, Routings, etc.) and driving SIOP process with PFEP across the Company
  • Customer Scorecards and MMOG/LE (including training to the latest versions), support and training on Customer Systems and meeting Customer expectations in general supporting Customer Audits on-site.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on Material Handling Equipment Acquisition, Material flow and layout, Lean, HFDS and MIFC
  • Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement and cost reduction opportunities at a Corporate, Plant and Customer Level
  • Will be working in office and plant environment where PPE must be worn
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime as required

Other Specific Functions:

  • Manage and co-ordinate Quarterly PI activities with all Metallic/FMG Plants
    • Review and Standardize process (MRO & Production) Counts - specifically for Year End Audit by KPMG
    • Review Inventory Accuracy and develop improvement plans with all plants (using NET and ABS)
    • Enforce use of standard analysis tool for Quarterly PI
  • Oversight and support of HFDS/Supermarkets - Working with Lean Team and Plants
    • Standardize and Implement KPI's (Continuous Improvement of systems)
  • Support Packaging Requirements (HFDS Optimization and New Programs)
  • Standardize SCO KPI implementation in all Plants (GM Boards)
  • Develop and Implement PFEP/MIFC process with all Metallic Plants
  • Material Handling oversight and equipment review - eliminate waste (including proposals for new fleets/lease)
  • New Launch review and support
  • SCO Manpower evaluation and waste elimination (including MH Equipment)
  • Oversight of Logistics and working with Corporate Logistics Manager to identify and address leakage
