EIPS is recruiting a full-time GOALS Program Teacher at Fort Saskatchewan High.
Fort Saskatchewan High serves approximately 470 students in grades 10 to 12, with 25 teaching staff and 12 support staff. The school is located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, approximately 20 kilometres north of Sherwood Park, AB. Fort Saskatchewan High aims to provide a stimulating student-centered environment that models lifelong learning where every person is provided with the opportunity to reach their own potential.

The Generating Occupational, Academic and Life Skills (GOALS) Program is a specialized system program designed to meet the needs of students identified with mild cognitive (intellectual) disabilities. The focus of the program is to improve academic and independent living skills within a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Effective organization and classroom management skills
Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
Excellent verbal and written skills
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
