Full-time Temporary (32.5 hours per week) Educational Assistant

Immediately -June 27, 2024

The Intervention Educational Assistant will be working with kindergarten children supporting continued literacy development. Intervention Educational Assistant will work under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students.

Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred

Experience in literacy and numeracy support preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills

Basic knowledge and understanding of MS Office (Word and Excel)

Ability to follow programming focused on numeracy and literacy and adapt as needed

Responsibilities:

Data/record keeping

Deliver literacy programming

Work collaboratively with school-based learning support teacher, classroom teachers, program lead teachers, and school leaders

Prepare, gather and maintain student activities/resources
