As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team as a member of Hatch. They will create high-quality visuals and provide design and production support to the Creative Department. We are looking for someone ready to tackle our design challenges and to help us develop compelling new concepts and promote our brand using the latest in design. The Graphic Designer will position will Report to the Global Director, Marketing & Communications
Primary Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer will:
• Work with editors, and other designers to deliver high-quality graphics optimized for print/video/web/social media, and digital solutions
• Create 2D & 3D graphics, infographics, some animations, explainer videos, pitches & product demos
• Understand how brand guidelines translate to video, digital, and print, and ensure that guidelines are followed
• Collaborate closely with clients and team members on developing digital projects and ideas
• Assist in the conceptualization, creative strategy, and process for projects
• Continually build a knowledge base of current trends and best-in-class strategies
• Relay information and ideas effectively both within and across different teams
Skills and experience:
• A post-secondary degree or diploma in graphic/information design program or equivalent,
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment,
• A portfolio that displays a collection of digital pieces that are sleek, modern, and clean in style
• Expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and powerpoint is a must.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, video editing, and creating motion graphics or animations.
• Knowledge of 3D software (Cinema 4D, Maya, 3D Max) is an asset
• Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility and the ability to work with print and digital assets
• Strong graphic/visual design capabilities including typography, sketching, composition, layout, colour, iconography, and the presentation of information
• Strong oral, written, communication, and organizational skills, and
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
