Managing a group of employees, a Team Leader is responsible for motivating staff members, ensuring teams are achieving objectives, and adhering to agency/industry practices. They are the go-to person leading by example for all team member training, goal and strategy development, and engagement.

Qualification and skills:

• Ability to work in fast paced environments
• Excellent conflict management and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to create a culture of collaboration among colleagues and other team members at all department levels
• Leadership skills to motivate all staff members
• Knowledge of performance evaluations
• Supervision experience and education in related disability services field considered an asset
• Criminal Record Check; including Vulnerable Sector (within the last 3 months)
• Good computer skills
• Minimum 1 year driving experience with a Class 5 license, copy of driver's abstract, and proof of insurance for 2 million liability also required.
