Job Description
Here's some of the the IT Manager will be doing:
- Own administration and day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure and end user computing environment. Ensure effective and efficient IT operations. Manage and respond to user access requests (onboarding/offboarding/change) activities and service requests via ticketing system and escalations and provide walk-up and deskside support.
- Manage and maintain all IT, network, and telecommunication systems and equipment. Ensure they are up to date and secure. Assist with capacity planning for network bandwidth and storage requirements. Ensure that all systems are backed up and that disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Lead and contribute to delivery and deployment of all IT projects. Conduct testing and monitor efficacy and adoption, identify problems proactively, and surface opportunities to enhance or scale solutions to better support business needs and to improve efficiency overall.
- Provide emergency support on critical operational issues to minimize downtime of systems and help deliver first-class service and support to customers. Ensure timely and efficient response, and KPIs and SLAs are adhered to.
- Manage IT assets from requisition to retirement, ensure licensing compliance, eliminate waste, and ensure timely refresh of aged IT assets to mitigate business and security risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Ensure cost-effective acquisition of IT purchases, and high-quality services and support.
