Job Description: In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Mental Health and Addictions services, reporting to the Director of Family Services the incumbent is accountable for identifying gaps for families of children (0-5) with high needs and working with community to develop early childhood resources. The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of the Mental Health and Addictions Services' program management model and will work closely with Public Health nursing staff as well as community organizations.
Required Qualifications
Current or eligible registration with the Saskatchewan regulatory body associated with affiliated profession
Degree or diploma in Social Work, Education, Early Education, Psychology, Nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Experience
Experience working in community development preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to initiate, plan, develop, and implement community projects in partnership with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to develop funding proposals
Demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal, public relation and written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to plan and implement evaluation processes and continuous improvement activities Ability to work independently within established parameters and as a member of a team consisting of agency and community partners
Knowledge of Community Development theory and ability to develop action plans, programs and community involvement with regard to early childhood development.
