About this Opportunity:
As a valued team member you will work alongside your colleagues to bring civil, marine and commercial development plans to reality. You will directly report to your assigned project manager/supervisor who will instruct you on your daily tasks. Those tasks will range from moving material, loading vehicles and ships to dredging shorelines and grading surfaces. The position will require you to safely operate a number of assigned machines dependant on the task and or job. This position will take you to various jobsites in multiple cities.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Safely maneuvering motorized Heavy Equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials with attention to surroundings and co-workers at all times
- Loading and offloading rocks, debris, steel and other materials from Heavy Equipment, vehicles and vessels
- Performing pre-operational inspections on all machinery and equipment, noting and reporting any deficiencies and or damages
- Monitor and maintain daily fluid levels, check all gauges and meters at every start up as well as greasing equipment regularly
- Changing attachments, making required adjustments, verifying proper installation and troubleshooting problems
- Maintain clean interiors and wash exteriors of machines including cleaning tracks where required
- Observing and adhering to all required and instructed safety requirements
- Perform assigned tasks and duties outside of main responsibilities as required
- Promote and reflect company core values
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Successful completion of certified Heavy Equipment Operator program
- Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions
- Valid G License (D or greater would be an asset)
- Clean drivers abstract
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proven attention to detail
- Adaptability to schedule fluctuation
