Escape Host
Job Description: Escape City provides award winning highly immersive escape room adventures. An Escape Host at Escape City is responsible for running the guest experience at Escape City. Primary tasks include: i) front end reception; ii) hosting and monitoring escape adventures; iii) resetting experiences and preparing them for the next guests; and iv) general upkeep and cleaning of the facility.
An Escape Host reports to the Shift Leader on shift, and the Operations Manager of Escape City. As we are a licensed facility, Escape City will only hire staff who are aged 18+. All employees must complete their ProServe Certificationwithin 2 weeks of hiring, if not already certified.
General Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival
- Provide experience introduction and safety brief
- Monitor guests (via CCTV) throughout their experience
- Reset experiences with precision
- Take bookings via phone and email
- Payment and cash management
- General customer service
- Serve food and beverages as ordered and in accordance with provincial and municipal rules and regulations
- Assist with facility cleaning and maintenance
- Other duties as reasonably assigned by Shift Leaders and/or the Operations Manager

Hours and Wage
The Escape Host position is a part-time position, with weekly hours ranging from 15-25 hours, and compensation starting at $15/hour with opportunities for growth. Candidates must be able to work both nights and weekends, and availability from Friday to Sunday is preferred. Due to the nature of the business, hours are not guaranteed, and some shifts may get reduced or cut depending on the number of bookings.
