The Opportunity:
Maple Leaf Marinas (MLM) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada. MLM’s marina network comprises 20 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay, Muskoka, and Parry Sound Regions.
MLM is seeking a Human Resources /Payroll Assistant to join our growing company. This is a part-time seasonal position that offers competitive pay (based on experience level) with the potential to turn into a permanent full time position. Job responsibilities include:
- Assist Director of Human Resources with the collection of onboarding documents of new hires from all locations.
- Tracking of vacation days, sick days and time off requests.
- Manage and respond to online job inquiries and online resume submissions.
- Assist managing 3 separate group health benefit plans as well as group long term disability plan.
- Assist with tracking staff compliance of health & safety training.
- Assist Payroll Administrator with various payroll duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Expected hours: 24 per week
