Summary:
This position is a hybrid position. Depending on the needs of the business, you will be either supporting shipping and receiving or be supporting the warehouse receiving role.
Major Duties:
Shipping & Receiving:
- Picks and stages orders using a computer program, checks it to pick list.
- Loads and unloads trucks, placing product in proper location.
- Follows shipping work instructions and procedures.
- Writes up required paperwork for various transportation companies.
- Verifies and signs receiving invoices and reports discrepancies to responsible personnel.
- Placing returnable packaging into its designated home.
- Ships moulding products to ISO9001 requirements.
- Perform cycle counts as required.
Warehouse Receiver:
Receiver Duties:
- Receive Raw Material or Component Parts from the Supplier
- Verify incoming deliveries/shipment for accuracy and defects, ensure all items are properly packed and labeled.
- Complete 3-way match process (PO, Invoice, Pack Slip), ensure correct item has been received.
- Receive / Organize documents such as bill of ladings, Pack slips, Orders and invoices.
- Report discrepancies to the Purchasing Administrator, provide information with paperwork issues.
- Tag suspected non-conforming materials/products and segregate for further investigation.
- Precise encoding of deliveries received using ERP software.
- Follow procedures for receiving and documentation.
- Unload product in a safe and timely manner
- Coordinate space arrangements for incoming shipments in the storage areas.
- Move product to the proper storage location, store them according to FIFO Procedure.
- Handle daily cycle counting of assigned areas.
- Verify material/purchased components are in correct location.
- Work closely with warehouse, lead hands and provide direction for paperwork/carrier and customer.
- Handle customer inquiries and dispatch them to the appropriate representative.
Outbound Duties:
- Handle packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment.
- Ensure that the shipping documents match the product delivered, Bill of lading, packing slip etc.
- Report and replace any defective item prior to packing.
- Meet 5S requirements (breaking down boxes and crates, organize recycling and arrange pick-ups directly with the recycler).
Move Order Issue:
- Process Material Handlers/ End user Move order issue.
- Assist with the pulling, packing, and shipping activities when required.
- Receives/release move order issue/ documentation to material handlers based on the days demand / production plan.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the company database.
- Records additional materials requested / wastage report.
- Provides daily cycle count report to the Purchasing Administrator
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Multitasking abilities
- Previous warehouse, administration or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision/guidance.
- Previous forklift certification and experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with PLEX is considered an asset.
