Import Logistics Manager

SureSource Commodities is looking for an energetic professional who does not mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of transportation related tasks as well as the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible and enjoys the challenges of domestic and international transportation.
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package and company benefits.
Responsibilities:
-Receive overseas shipment documents, review, approve and processes documents for payment in compliance with organic compliance practices.
-Using vessel line websites, track all incoming containerized shipments and communicate information to domestic carriers, internal team, and customers as it pertains to each group.
-Manage successful execution of freight such as customs entry, drayage, and transloading.
-Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
-Contract oversight and management.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance logistics operations.
-Understand the sense of urgency with individual tasks.
-Input data into tracking system accurately and timely. Track containers.
-Adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
-Oversee contract volumes and shipment periods to ensure suppliers are meeting obligations and customers are taking product timely.
Desired Skills and Experience
-Diploma or degree
-3-5 years of experience in Import Logistics required
-Effective contract negotiation skills
-Customer service driven, open communicator, high execution rate, high sense of urgency
-Outstanding organization, problem solving and attention to detail
-Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
-Strong problem identification and resolution skills
-Ability to work individually and in a team
-Competent in MS Excel and Word. Quick to catch on to new ERP Systems
-Experience in a fast-paced work environment
-Takes initiative and requires little to no guidance completing necessary tasks
-Excellent time management skills
-Accurate, adaptable, take initiative
-Ability to handle high volume of transactions

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
