As an Inside Sales Associate you will be providing first class customer service by creating a seamless shopping experience from the moment a customer enters the store. From product knowledge to assisting customers to their vehicles, we strive to operate with the best values in mind. Job Duties

• Greet customers promptly with a warm greeting and ensure the best customer experience
• Operate cash terminal by handling cash, debit, or credit transactions, issue receipts, and process merchandise returns and exchanges as needed
• Assess customer needs and provide expert advice on various department products
• Actively participate in achieving sales objectives provided by the Branch Leadership Team
• Keep up to date with new products and their functions by partaking in Vendor and other PK training sessions
• Be aware of current promotions and flyer prices
• Ensure and participate in the maintenance of floor plans
• Support cycle counts and inventory counts as requested by Management
• Keep all checkout work stations clean, tidy, and uncluttered
• Comply with policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, breakage of goods and health and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of building materials and various home improvement products
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer and mathematic skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and/or with a Team
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Work Conditions

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Predominately work indoors; some outdoor work may be required
• Carry / move product up to 20lbs as needed
• Able to work days, evenings, and weekends
• Able to work overtime as required
