What role you will play in our team
As a Instrumentation technician Co-op student at the Nanticoke Refinery, you will be required to safely perform normal maintenance tasks associated with the instrumentation technician role.
What you will do
Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Join a Day Instrumentation/Analyzer team and support the maintenance of Nanticoke Refinery 
-Completion of Basic Instrumentation technician Training 
-Technician tasks under the direction of an experienced supervisor / employee
-Completion of special project assignments 
-Equipment preparation for major maintenance under the direction of experienced personnel
-Shop work (e.g. set-up transmitters, update P&ID’s, update spec sheets and procedures, test equipment in the shop prior to installing in the field) under the direction of an experienced technician.
About you
Skills and Qualification
-Must be enrolled in Instrumentation & Control technician Program
-Good academic standing is required in all subjects
-Must have obtained high school diploma or equivalent
-Availability for position duration May through September 2024
 
Skills and Experience/Qualifications
-Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, plus the ability to work in a team environment
-Sound reasoning ability and mechanical aptitude
-Able to meet the essential physical demands of the position as per Job Demands Analysis (ie work 12 hour day/night shift, climbing stairs, some lifting)
-Work schedule-Full time position

-Ability to consistently follow safe work practices, basic maintenance procedures and enthusiastically contribute to a safe work culture.
-Has knowledge and ability to work with technology related instrumentation.
