Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital are actively seeking applicants for an Integrated Human Resources Assistant position. "Integrated" means that the successful incumbent will work at both hospital sites.
The Human Resources Assistant supports the day to day operations of the Human Resources department across both Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for performing administrative/receptionist functions, maintaining employee records and assisting with various Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety Department tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the internal and external recruitment process as required (scheduling interviews, complete references checks, transfer letters etc.)
- Assist with the learning management system (run quarterly reports, enter grades, create and/or update learning modules etc.)
- Enter and maintain data in various Humann Resources applications
- Print employee identification badges
- Complete confirmation of employment letters
- Assist with minute taking
- Assist in pulling data and reports as needed
- Scheduling of appointments for orientation, labour management, service awards and other meetings as required.
- Create employee files and records and document management
- Assist in staffing/scheduling duties for Central Staffing as required.
- Assist in other duties as agreed in order to contribute to the effective implementation / maintenance of human resource related activities.
- Performs duties in a manner that exemplifies and facilitates both quality and patient safety
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent as acceptable to the Hospital
- Human Resources Management Certificate/Diploma and/or equivalent experience acceptable to the hospital.
- Previous administrative experience in an office setting is an asset.
- Previous Human Resources experience is an asset
- Previous experience in a health-care setting is preferred.
- Previous staffing and scheduling experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills are essential specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Intranet, Outlook and Articulate
- Able to work independently in a demanding environment and be able to prioritize workload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization and provide superior customer service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a positive contributor to the team.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet, Articulate
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy are essential.
Other pertinent conditions:
- Salary as per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($27.11 per hour to $31.71 per hour)
- Must be available to work all shifts which may include: weekends, statutory holidays, days and evenings
