Job
Summary:
The team
is looking for an intern that will participate in various projects across
multiple functions in the finance department. This opportunity will enable you
to learn more about the various Finance and Accounting positions and insights
into our various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Support
the Accounts Payable and Procurement functions mainly through data entry and
reconciliations, - Cross
checking vendor statements to accounting records, - Verifying
employee expense reports, - Assist
the Controller with various project and adhoc analysis, - Help the
Senior accountant with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping functions, and - Support
the year end close and audit.
Qualifications
& Requirements:
- 3rd/ 4th
year student in with a major in accounting or currently pursuing a graduate
degree in accounting or finance - Previous
related experience in bookkeeping and Accounting an asset - Experience
with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset - English/
French communications skills - both verbal and written - Strong
computer skills in programs such as MS Office, particularly Excel. - Problem-solving
mindset and strong attention to detail - Well-developed
people skills and has the desire to work as part of a team and independently. - Good
multitasking and organizational skills
The state of the
language situation and the assessment of the language needs of our company
justify the requirement of knowledge of a language other than French for this
position. In this case, the successful candidate for this position is required
to have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written, due to the
fact that the tasks to be performed include the responsibility to maintain, on
a continuous and daily basis, relations with our Canadian team, whose main
language of oral and written exchange is English, and to be able to discuss
scientific and business concepts competently and in detail in this language.
