Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Intern Student – Data Analyst at our Quebec, Quebec location. The selected candidate will be part of our Applied Scholarship Program.

We are seeking dedicated students who are interested in building a lasting relationship with us by returning year over year for Intern terms with the ultimate goal of permanent employment after graduation.
As part Applied’s Scholarship Program, at the end of each successful term the selected student will receive a scholarship award for their hard work. Upon returning each year and successfully completing a subsequent term, that award will increase in value!
THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for developing data valorization of Applied’s information within inventory, transportation, sales, project, forecast, etc. You will play an integral role in interpreting and transforming data into valuable insights that will drive growth for Applied. With data analytics being a rapidly growing field, this is an excellent opportunity for skilled person their knowledge and help businesses make informed decisions.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:
-Responsible for designing, creating, maintaining, and executing the data analytics processes into information that can create value. (Data Valorization).
-Design and build data architecture involving the three types of data models: conceptual, logical, and physical.
-Perform regular execution of data mining, importing, exporting, dashboarding, report distribution, validation of our multi-year SAP data & third party data.
-Use data analytics to optimize inventory & logistics management by analyzing data on sales trends, customer demand, carrier, contract, and supply chain performance to identify opportunities to improve inventory / transportation management and reduce costs.
 
 DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
-Currently enrolled in Diploma or Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related
-Bilingual; French & English
-Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
-Results oriented, attention to detail, and good time management skills.
-Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
-Strong Ethics
-Be able to work with large dataset and data visualization tools.
-Got energize imagination and use logic for decision making.
