1 ‑ Temporary Full Time ‑ Intern

Reporting to the Manager, Employee Experience & Well Being with a matrix report to the Manager, Screening &
Assessment Services, the Intern will gain experience in the areas of healthy workplace, health promotion, chronic
disease prevention, and cancer screening.
The intern will work independently on projects with the guidance of the Human Resources and Prevention &
Screening Clinical Services teams. Areas of focus will include healthy workplace initiatives including workplace
wellness, employee engagement, reward & recognition, as well as social media promotion and community outreach
related to chronic disease prevention and cancer screening.
Employee Requirements
* A highly organized, results orientated individual who has the ability to coordinate multiple activities and enjoys
working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
* A team player with strong organizational skills who is also able to work independently
* Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary teams including TBRHSC employees, professional staff, volunteers
and learners to implement activities and programs
* Good interpersonal, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills
* Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project;
and GroupWise
* Undergraduate degree in health administration, health services, public health, health promotion, and/or human
resources with demonstrated interest and/or experience in workplace wellness, health care, and population health
* Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or
underemployed who are entering a new field
* Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate
* Candidate must be 18 years of age or older
* Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada
* Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed
Salary Range: $26.415
