Inventory Analyst

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create, analyze and provide inventory reports, and costing reports
Provides monthly, quarterly and yearly costs standards analysis to management
Ensures timely, accurate and effective data information in financial reports related to operational costs
Analysis and reporting of inventory turns,
Initiate improvements to inventory accuracy and turns,
Maintain accurate inventory and customer information in Navision,
Conduct regular cycle counts and review of obsolete inventory.
Key team member in annual Inventory count
Developing, coordinating and maintenance of all standard costing processes with operations staff
Provides feedback to operations managers on material cost
Make all appropriate inventory adjustment entries when necessary
All other duties as required

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must have minimum 2-4 years manufacturing environment experience in a costing or inventory control related function,
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel
Previous experience working with an MRP system, Navision would be an asset
Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
Excellent organization, problem solving, communication (oral and written) and leadership skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION/ TRAINING:

Post Secondary education in accounting or a related field would be a strong asset
Knowledge of costing and inventory control principles

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:

Plant/ Office Environment
No significant material handling will be required, but regular visits to the plant floor and some product counting may be necessary.
Driver’s License, or ability to travel to secondary inventory locations within the GTHA

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00-$64,000.00 per year
