IT Project Controls Analyst

Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Project Controls Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with a reputable integrated oil and natural gas company in Calgary, AB. In this pivotal role, you will oversee IT budgeting and forecasting for various projects while managing costs in SAP and ServiceNow.

·       Location: Calgary, AB |Hybrid (4 days in office, 1-day WFH)

·       Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8 hours/day

·       Job type: Full-time | 1-Year Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Execute IT Project budgeting/forecasting processes for reconciliation, variance analysis, and accruals.

·       Regularly review forecasts and financial changes with PMs and the IT Leadership team.

·       Generate regular spend reports for PMs and IT Leadership.

·       Support IT Portfolio Management processes.

·       Analyze IT Project budget expenditures.

·       Collaborate with Accounting for appropriate financial treatments.

·       Update IT Project financials in ServiceNow.

·       Create AFEs in SAP and monitor accruals.

·       Fulfill miscellaneous project team requests and ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

·       5-7 years of budgetary/accounting experience with ERP Financial Systems and strong financial acumen

·       5-7 years of relevant experience within an IT department

·       Proficiency in SAP, ServiceNow, Excel, and Power BI

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Adaptability to changing priorities and conflicting demands

·       Exceptional attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

·       Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada
