As a Project Controls and Administration Analyst (PCA Analyst), you will support the delivery and execution of capital infrastructure construction projects and programs. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring and controlling of the assigned portfolio projects, financial and schedule performance, in addition to capital program and project portfolio information in the corporate Program and Project Management Tool (Microsoft Project) solution and Power BI. Primary duties include:
- Monitor capital projects and programs and managing related processes in P2M. Validate all project information in P2M for reporting purposes.
- Provide detailed reviews and recommendations to Project Managers/Coordinators on all financial aspects of the project progress including expenditures, forecasts, change orders, accruals, and commitments to maintain financial transparency and efficiency.
- Create and develop project schedules to accurately reflect expected capital project delivery timelines and key milestones.
- Maintenance of project schedule, tracking changes to baselined planned dates and updates to actual and expected dates.
- Validate schedule progress against project financials, reviews schedule lags and activity relations for correctness.
- Review vendor invoices for compliance with corporate and legislative requirements, ensures proper financial coding and allocations have been used for invoice processing.
- A completed 2 year diploma in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field and at least 5 years of Project Controls experience; OR
- A degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field and at least 3 years of Project Controls experience.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Power BI and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- A project management certification such as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Certification (PMP), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) will be considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in project management software (for example: Microsoft Project, Primavera, Ecosys or similar) and previous experience developing and implementing processes.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills are essential.
