Project Controls Coordinator - Structures

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Contractor Services Farm & Ranch Structures, the Project ControlsCoordinator - Structures is responsible for the site management and contractors for UFA Structures Projects. This position will act as a support contact with customers for the purpose of ensuring quality, budget and schedule are achieved.

Key Accountabilities:

• Main point of contact onsite for project activities including: project kick off and close out meetings, prestart site inspections and progress inspections.
• Provide real time daily support to UFA contractors and Project Management Teams.
• Assist in reviewing project requirements and materials within the budget and schedule, with the Building Project Representative.
• Site representation for UFA by assisting in managing subtrades – daily schedules, quality control.
• Facilitate engineering and permit inspections as required.
• Be the secondary contact for customer warranty issues – evaluation & resolution.
• Responsible to read, understand, and comply with UFA's Health, Safety, Environment Policies, Safe Work Practices, and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma required, post-secondary education in buildings related field an asset.
• Minimum 3 years prior construction management or Project Controller experience is required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with Microsoft Projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read construction/installation drawings required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Valid Class 5 license required.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.

This is a safety sensitive position as will be on site at UFA facilities and will be using UFA material handling equipment. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test as a condition of employment.
