Position Title: IT Project Manager - Business Transformation
Location: Melville, SK (remote with occasional onsite visits)

Overview:
Our Public sector client is currently seeking an IT Project Manager - Business Transformation, starting April 2024. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of PM experience managing large projects focused on implementing customer-centric Business Transformation strategies. Experience leading and implementing projects that involved major changes to business systems and processes i.e., managing team resources, systems development, estimating effort/costs and planning/scheduling project activities. Previous experience managing concurrent and complex technical projects is required. Experience managing large Digital Transformation projects would be a strong asset. Industry certification required: PMP or PRINCE2. Location: Remote (with occasional onsite visits - Melville, SK). Candidates must reside in Canada for the duration of the project. Term: 3 years.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple project streams (technical, people and change, program operations, etc.)
- Manage teams, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Identify and manage project risks effectively.
- Provide accurate and regular status reports and navigate complex organizational structures.
- Successful project delivery, drive results and meet project goals.
- 8+ years of PM experience managing large projects focused on implementing customer-centric Business Transformation strategies.
- Experience leading and implementing projects that involved major changes to business systems and processes through managing team resources, systems development, estimating effort and costs and planning and scheduling project activities.
- Experience as a Project Manager across a variety of sectors, working in multiple concurrent projects and managing complex technical projects with the ability to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and milestones and work under pressure.
- Education: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification. (Mandatory)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
- Candidate must reside in Canada for the duration of the project.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience preparing and overseeing the development of project documents, i.e., MS Project schedules, charters, status/progress reports, detailed budget, resource estimates, project management plans, schedules and proposals, strategies, project close-out documents including transition to operations and "lessons learned".
- Experience in managing large corporate projects balancing several levels of stakeholders and external vendor where strong communication skills are required.
- Experience managing large Digital Transformation projects.
- Experience working with co-located, remote and hybrid project teams, with the use of virtual communication and collaboration techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams is considered an asset.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including the Agile frameworks employed and any Agile certifications achieved.
- Experience and knowledge of project management software (i.e., Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft Project Online) are considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and SharePoint.
- Experience using or certification with an organizational change management methodology is considered an asset.
