It Support Specialist

Naturally Pacific Resort offers an escape into Vancouver Island’s greatest outdoor playground. Located in Campbell River, BC with breathtaking mountain and ocean views, we will offer one of the premier hospitality experiences on Vancouver Island. Scheduled to open in winter 2024 this destination resort will be complete with a 100-room luxury hotel, extraordinary dining, a luxury spa, an outdoor pool space, as well as a spectacular 18-hole golf course.

As the IT Support Specialist, you will be based out of Campbell River, BC and will offer support to users who are experiencing challenges with their computers or software. Support can be provided in person, over the phone, or online. You will address issues ranging from the network systems to individual desktop computers. The IT Support Specialist is also responsible for maintaining the company's computer services and equipment. Applicants must be available to work a variety of 8-hour shifts 7 days a week between 6.00am and 10.00pm on weekdays and weekends as required.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Troubleshoot to detect and solve technical problems
• Provide on-site and remote support
• Be proactive in providing hands-on solutions
• Support MS Office Suite, Microsoft 365, and mobile devices
• Participate in cross-function projects
• Respond to user requests
• Provide technical guidance and timely solutions
• Escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner
• Deploy, upgrade, and refresh equipment and devices
• Ensure continuous improvement of on-site service delivery

A few things we are looking for in a new team member:

• Post-secondary education in relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1 years of direct work experience in user support
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration would be an asset
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong problem identification and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
• Availability to work full-time weekdays and weekends as required
