Janitor - On-Call/Casual
Department: Administration
Overview: The Janitor is a key operational role within Haisla Nation Council (HNC). This position is primarily a health and safety related position to ensure that the required level of cleaning standards are maintained in all HNC buildings. Under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator
Duties:
- Sweep all floors, entrance ways, and stairs;
- Vacuum rugs;
- Mop all floors, including offices;
- Clean and service all washrooms, daily;
- Wipe and sanitize all touch points, daily;
- Clean gymnasium floor and bleachers;
- When time permits, dust, wash walls and windows;
- Remove and dispose of trash from all areas;
- Placing soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in each washroom;
- Maintaining clear access to all fire exits and walkways;
- To follow Personnel Policy and Manual;
- Other related duties as assigned by the Administrative Coordinator or designate.
Qualifications:
- Grade Ten (10) completion;
- First Aid Level 1, prefered;
- Building Service Worker Certificate, prefered;
- BC Drivers License and own vehicle is an assett;
- Must have the ability to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
