The Brand and Ecommerce group at Sonder is responsible for the strategy and execution of all elements of demand generation for the brand. The team is accountable for driving RevPar by optimizing performance across all marketing channels to advance Sonder’s global reach and performance. The team leads the design and development of compelling brand assets that convey a remarkable, differentiated hospitality experience. Today, this group consists of Brand, Performance Marketing and Ecommerce (Sonder.com and 3rd party).
At Sonder, you will:
Interpret creative briefs to understand project requirements and develop content that is fit for purpose
Write original copy for a range of marketing materials across email, landing pages, blog, social, and digital advertising
Contribute and edit product copy for our website, app, and property collateral
Revise, edit, and proofread copy as needed
Collaborate with the Brand team (content strategist and visual designers) and internal cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Social, Comms), from concept development to delivery of final product
Help to shape Sonder’s distinctive voice and tone, championing our house style across the company
What we look for:
Bachelor’s in marketing, English, journalism, communications, or a similar field
Minimum 2 years of experience in content, marketing, or communications, as a copywriter or in a similar role with a specific background in hands-on writing
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail
Broad content skills, with experience researching, writing, and editing copy and knowledge of online content strategy and SEO
A creative flair with a passion for the English language and a curiosity for travel and culture
An "owner" personality: You're biased toward action, a great collaborator and master simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.
Proficiency in WordPress or other content management software
Previous experience in hospitality or at a high-growth start-up preferred
