Carters Professional Corporation is one of the leading firms in Canada in the area of charity
and not-for-profit law, with offices in Toronto, Ottawa and Orangeville. The successful candidate will be required to work out of our Orangeville office located at 211 Broadway, Orangeville, Ontario. This is a new position on the team and will be involved in many areas of the administrative side of our law firm. We are looking for someone who is a great team player, is efficient, detail orientated and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service.
Some of the job responsibilities include:
- Responding to correspondence and emails
- Managing calendars for lawyers / senior staff
- Maintaining physical and digital filing systems
- Updating various databases and spreadsheets
- Transcription of meetings
- Preparing documents for upcoming meetings
- Coordinating logistics for meetings, including Zoom or Microsoft teams
- Create and edit documents with Microsoft Word or PowerPoint
- Reception support and back-up
This role requires the candidate to:
- Be a team player, working closely with other administrative staff
- Support other colleagues as needed
- Be able to work with sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality
- Ensure processes are compliant with privacy policies and regulations
- Have the ability to meet deadlines while adapting to changing priorities
- Always maintain a positive and professional image for the organization
