Junior Project Engineer

We are a small boutique engineering firm focused on the Calgary market and the unique needs of the land development clients in this City. Our clients rely on us to optimize the potential of their land. We focus on providing cost-effective solutions to the unique engineering challenges that are faced on each project. We are involved in a diverse range of projects from the initial planning stages to detailed design, construction management and right through the maintenance periods.

Positions: We have an opportunity for One(1)Junior Project Engineerto join our young and growing Team.

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will:

• Complete both planning level, and detailed level engineering of subdivisions including but not limited to; roadway geometric and vertical design, earthworks and grading design and calculations, sanitary and storm sewer designs, watermain designs, overland drainage designs, and erosion and sediment control designs
• Work closely with CAD design technologists who will complete the CAD drafting of Engineering plans, construction drawings and figures for development projects
• Work closely with approving authorities to ensure that engineering approvals are obtain on or ahead of the client’s schedule
• Prepare, review and/or sign off on various engineering reports including, but not limited to; traffic noise study analysis, earthworks reports, erosion and sediment control reports

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience in land development engineering
· Experience completing both planning level and detailed level engineering design for subdivisions, submission of engineering construction drawings and approvals of the same
· Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and its features (i.e. alignments, profiles, corridors, pipes etc.) to produce dynamic CAD drawings
· Self-motivated individual who takes great pride in producing the highest quality of work
· Strong attention to detail and accurateness
· Demonstrates initiative and works to continually improve
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Problem solving and decision-making skills

Salary: $65,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
