Job Description


Position Location:

Montreal, Ottawa and/or Greater Toronto Area with availability to travel

Position Description:

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual that is looking to broaden their business-to-business sales experience and gain valuable market knowledge through the Key Account Manager role.

As a Key Account Manager with Bosch Power Tools, you will be the front-line sales manager for Bosch and Dremel dealing with business owners and key decision makers on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of the business relationship with your assigned National Key Accounts. You will partner with internal stakeholders (Leadership, Marketing, Logistics, Sales, etc) managing profitable growth within your account through marketing of new products, managing promotional sales volumes, collaborating on comprehensive sell through strategies, and engaging with Bosch’s end users alongside your teammates and peers.

Your sales results will directly impact the top line sales and profitability of Bosch Tools Canada and are critical to the success of the overall organization. A successful candidate will have intellectual curiosity, impeccable communication skills, high level of organization, enthusiasm, be a team player and be driven to win.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategically manage ongoing relationships with a large Canadian home improvement retailer via account planning and sales forecasting processes
  • Meet and exceed annual sales and growth targets
  • Grow the home improvement retail business in Bosch brand Tools, Lasers, and Power Tool Accessories, and Dremel/RotoZip brand tools and accessories.
  • Maintain good relationships with the account across multiple functional areas (Merchandising, Logistics, Marketing, Online, Field Sales, Pro Sales, etc) at all levels to assure satisfaction and continued sales growth
  • Identify strategic assortment updates which provide solutions for Bosch end-users and create sustainable growth
  • Administer day-to-day account activities by being the account expert, working with internal stakeholders and resources to ensure smooth business operations
  • Participation in all national initiatives and strategies
  • Collect and communicate information about field activities such as competitive applications, product trends and strategic pricing to the National Sales Manager as required
  • Establish store planning and planogram initiatives
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and objectives that achieve Company sales and profit objectives
  • Analyze market/customer trends (i.e. pricing, promotion, inventory, purchasing, POS) and use these evaluations to drive a decision making process
  • Accurately maintain 12 month rolling SKU-level forecasts (AddOne/SAP)
  • Build and maintain productive relationships across functional areas internally to build a team support network for a customer centric culture

Qualifications


What You Have Done:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Senior Sales Representative (with National Industrial accounts)
  • Bilingual French strongly preferred
  • Prior experience managing the Rona account preferred
  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred (or equivalent 5-7 years of related work experience)
  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Powerpoint, Word, SAP/CRM experience an asset
  • Excellent presentation, forecasting and analytical skills with a strategic mindset
  • Organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • CPSA designation preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
