Line Cook & Back of House Staff
Full time and Part time

Overview of Line Cook & Back of House Staff:
Aroma line cooks prepare dishes from our Mediterranean-inspired menu. You will be responsible for preparing fresh food dishes specifically according to aroma recipe and quality standards while maintaining keen attention to food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, strong time management skills, an ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members while executing dishes accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
You will be responsible for preparation and production from the following stations: salad line, sandwich line, flat grill, and hot soup stations, etc.
Regularly prepare items such as: from-scratch dressings, fresh-cooked grains, freshly chopped herbs, as well as slicing and dicing produce according to standardized daily kitchen prep
Execute all dishes based on standardized recipes/prep sheets while always following aroma quality and freshness standards
Continuously maintain cleanliness of prep area and kitchen equipment, including sanitizing prep surfaces between all tasks
Strict adherence to company, municipal and provincial guidelines as they are related to food safety and safe workplace environments.
Receive supplier deliveries, verifying received items against invoices, restock fridge/freezer and kitchen lines, store and label all prepped items in accordance with health and safety standards, managing expiry dates and always maintain safe food items rotation (FIFO)
Washing and putting away dishes, disposing of garbage and waste
Available to perform many different tasks within the café, during each shift, as may be assigned from time to time by your manager or shift leader, with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications:
Preferred: Experience working in a kitchen with a general understanding of cooking fundamentals and practices
Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully and efficiently with others Team Members
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
Keen attention to detail and presentation
A positive attitude
Availability to work flexible hours, including early opening and late closing of the cafe, weekends and holidays as business requires
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
Work permit required
