Labourer - Production line workers

Cedarshed is a manufacturing company looking to add Full-time, Part- time and Seasonal team members with a positive attitude. We manufacture pre-fabricated garden buildings and outdoor living products. Cedarshed has been around since 1980 selling our products into Canada, USA and Japan. You will be working in a indoor warehouse production setting. We're seeking reliable persons to build components out of wood using staple and nail guns in a Production line. Also seeking packaging and warehouse workers

Job Details:

• Fabricate and assemble wooden components made from western red cedar and other softwood lumber species according to specifications
• Operate and maintain woodworking tools and machinery such as; staple , coil guns, chop saw and table saws.
• Use jigs for part placement of wood parts and measure dimensions for exact precision before fastening with staple guns to ensure high quality product.
• Perform quality checks to ensure the final product meets the required standards- Communicate with other departments about required components for orders.
• Restore and repair damaged components.
• Regular daily clean-up and maintenance of work station.
• Warehouse and packaging duties require picking and labelling parts from part lists and verifying measurements and quality each step of the process.
• Securely packing, wrapping and strapping parts and components on pallet for drop-ship orders

Requirements:

• Positive attitude and ability to work with and communicate with co-workers.
• Willing to take direction to ensure components are built to high quality standards.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift objects 35 lbs and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours moving around.
• Wood working experience is an asset but not required.
• Experience working with hand tools and pneumatic air tools is helpful.
• Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
• Ability to read use tape measurements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions

$21 to start. 90 day probation period. $22 after that. Yearly raises
