What will your typical day look like?

 

 

The Global Audit & Assurance Learning (GAAL) team has responsibility for design, development, deployment, and monitoring and measuring of learning and development solutions to the Audit & Assurance services. The Curriculum Design & Innovation Lead will drive Learning Modernization, one of GAAL’s top strategic priorities, to create learning experiences that are skills-focused, personalized, and embedded in the flow of work. Drawing on design thinking, this role will lead the design, development, testing, and evaluation of learning experiences that support the performance and growth of all Deloitte Audit & Assurance professionals. The position is a permanent role.

 

 The position does not require relocation but does offer overseas travel may be required. In addition, the global nature of the team and our stakeholders may require participation in calls outside of standards working hours.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrates exceptional learning design ability and creative vision, actualizing that vision using tools and methods while incorporating leading-edge techniques from varied disciplines
  • Develops well-crafted research plans to inspire human-centered learning design, providing actionable and meaningful data-driven insights into the experiences of diverse learners
  • Establishes methodologies and standardized processes for content design and creation, defines the design standards for GAAL, and identifies specific approaches to design highly engaging, high-value learning experiences
  • Supports the creation of best-in-class learning solutions based on insights from the learner experience, findings from the science of learning, and evidence-backed practices from the field of training and development
  • Gathers information on emerging trends and capabilities for learning to identify new experiences and modalities that can enable business outcomes, updating design standards as needed
  • Presents and interacts with the GAAL Executive Committee (GAALEx), the leadership team that steers the vision and strategy for GAAL
  • Coordinates and collaborates laterally with the learning portfolios to understand their content design needs and how to enable the desired end-to-end learner experience
  •  Leads and manages team (onboarding, talent management, role of the coach, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Cultivates an inclusive, high-performing team by creating a strong team culture of learning
  • Collects and shares data to direct personnel development and ensure the team scope of work and resources are appropriate to meet business demand
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and excellence, overseeing team development and recognizing and rewarding team members

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone with:

 

  • 5+ years of learning design experience, preferably within professional services
  • 3+ years of managing or supervising others, fostering a culture of performance, learning, and inclusion
  • Bachelor’s or other advanced degree in the behavioral sciences, instructional design, education, or related fields
  • Working within a virtual team environment and experience of working with different cultures
  • Demonstrated mastery of learning design to create engaging and innovative experiences across modalities based on insights from learning sciences, instructional design, and related discipline
  • Mastery of design thinking principles and methodologies, including understanding how to adjust learning for different learner types and use a variety of techniques to assess learning
  • Ability to conduct user experience (UX) research and instructional design models and processes (e.g., ADDIE and SAM)
  • Knowledge of methods for evaluating the effectiveness and impact of learning
  • Ability to partner with senior and executive stakeholders and work across large teams
