First Capital’s Intern Program gives young professionals access to enriching opportunities to start and accelerate their careers. Our program is uniquely hands-on, allowing Interns to work alongside our leaders on exciting new projects and strategies. In addition to day-to-day projects, Interns will have access to a series of learning and networking events, mentorship sessions, an end of term Capstone Project, and much more. Our goal is to leave all our program graduates with a full, 360 understanding of our business.
As Leasing & Analytics Intern, you will report to the Leasing Analyst, and you will provide support to the team with respect to transactional data entry, preparation of leasing documentation, performance reports, marketing materials, and overall analysis for various properties and special projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide leasing support (VTS Real Estate Platform).
- Assist in managing high-volume inbound leads
- Facilitate testing on new leasing analytic systems, and assist with the process documentation of these leasing processes and systems
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis on real estate markets to identify trends, and influence leasing decisions.
- Providing administrative support, including preparing general correspondence, data entry, preparing various meeting materials, etc.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives and take on other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in Real Estate, Commerce, Business, or Finance.
- Demonstrated interest in developing a career within commercial real estate.
- You have strong analytical skills with the ability to gather information, synthesize it, and ‘connect-the-dots.
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate across all levels both within and outside of First Capital.
- You demonstrate outstanding organizational capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- As a self-starter, you have a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment and are eager to grow your exposure to new technology and processes, taking any opportunity to acquire new skills
- You have strong computer skills, including an excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

OUR APPLICATION PROCESS:
Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are 4-month paid terms starting on May 6, 2024, and ending on August 30, 2024. Please note that our application deadline is February 21, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and only selected candidates will be invited to interviews with our team. Interviews will be conducted throughout March, and final hiring decisions will made by April.
